Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 30, 2026
This policy explains how rss2json.com ("we", "us"), based in the United States, handles personal information when you use the rss2json.com website and API (the "service"). Our Terms of Service apply too.
1. Information we collect
- Information you give us: your email address, name (optional) and password, or the GitHub or Google account you sign in with, and the messages you send us.
- Information from using the service: your API key, the feeds you request, how many requests you make, and technical data such as your IP address and browser, used to run the service, apply limits and keep it secure. Cookies are only used to keep you signed in and secure, and for basic visit statistics.
- Payment information: the plan you buy, the amount, the date, the transaction ID and the email address used for the payment. Card and payment account details are entered on our payment processors' secure pages; we never receive or store them.
2. How we use it
We use personal information to provide and improve the service, process payments and send receipts and service emails, answer support requests, prevent abuse and fraud, and meet our legal obligations. We don't sell personal information or use it for advertising.
3. Sharing
We share personal information only:
- with service providers that help us run the service (hosting, email delivery, network security), who may use it only for that purpose;
- with our payment processors, which handle your payment details under their own privacy policies;
- with GitHub or Google, only if you choose to sign in with them;
- when the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others;
- as part of a transfer of the service, for example to a company formed to run it or to a new owner, who will be bound by this policy.
4. Retention and security
We keep personal information for as long as your account exists or as needed to provide the service, and payment records for as long as tax and accounting law requires. We protect it with reasonable technical and organisational measures, and will notify you of a breach affecting your data where the law requires it.
5. International transfers
We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process information there and in other countries. Where required, these transfers rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.
6. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, or object to how we use it. You can delete your account from your account page at any time, and ask us to erase the remaining data (except records we must keep by law). We answer requests within 30 days, may ask you to confirm your identity, and won't treat you differently for using these rights.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we process your information to perform our contract with you, for our legitimate interests (such as security and fraud prevention), to meet legal obligations, or with your consent, and you can complain to your data protection authority. If you are a California resident, you have the rights described above under California law; we don't sell or share personal information.
7. Children
The service isn't meant for children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we will email account holders about significant changes.
9. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, use the contact form or email support@rss2json.com.
